Prevention Through Awareness: Gender-based violence – recognition, prevention and control
Due to the Prevention through Awareness Project ACF / 349, an interview with Simona Veleva, Doctor of Constitutional Law, expert in Media and Digital Law and Human Rights and author of the book “Freedom of Speech” was published in OFFNews.
In this article, she talks about the number of victims of gender-based violence per year, the consequences, the reasons for it and how it can be prevented. “According to data from the Ministry of Interior, a total of 35,000 signals for 2019 were filed for domestic violence on 112, but they specify that for the same incident there are sometimes several calls. On average, 70 people a day report domestic violence.”
